The newest addition to jet lite airways (India) Limited, JetLite is the result of the largest takeover ever in Indian aviation history. In April 2007, Jet Airways acquired Air Sahara full-stock-and-barrel in a 1,450-crore deal and converted it into a value-based airline under the brand name 'JetLite'.

With the acquisition of its major rival, Jet Airways increased its market share to 35% and became the largest private player in India's aviation sector. Along with JetLite's fleet of airlines, Jet Airways is now the only private carrier in Indian aviation industry to service both domestic and international sectors.

JetLite offers domestic flights between 26 cities across the country. While most of the domestic flights by JetLite have no stoppage points, some cities are connected by one-stop flights. All flights feature the one-of-a-kind services such as 'Buy on Board' in-flight meals and in-flight shopping unique to JetLite and ensure value for money.
